Gerry's Grill In Tagaytay

Last October 9, 2010 is my youngest son’s birthday…So, my family headed to Tagaytay to spend the weekend. Before heading to Estancia Resort, where we stayed for the night…we stop at Gerry’s Grill for lunch…

I have dined in different branches of Gerry’s in Manila and so I already knew what we would order… As usual, my husband ordered Caldereta, which is good…the meat is tender and the sauce is unforgettable. Pls. try it!...when you visit Gerry’s too!

Next, is the pusit and chicken dumpling which are also good… in fact, the chicken dumpling sauce is perfectly done that my son has to ask again for a refill. Now, our meal is not complete without the bagoong rice… and I rate this fried rice, 10 as the highest and when I visit Gerry’s again, will definitely order it again…

There are many fine establishments in Tagaytay, but if you are craving for some Filipino dishes then Gerry’s Grill is the place you should try… The meals are affordable, actually, the restaurants along the street is even pricier…Which is funny, but not surprising anymore…After all, we are in Tagaytay…

Slice and Dice - Steak For Only P99

I love steaks, but we all know how expensive they can be… fortunately, Slice and Dice came into the scene because now we can all enjoy steaks for a mere P99.00 and you can match it with their fried rice that you can eat alone…if you want!!! That’s how good their fried rice, which only cost P45.

So, the next time you feel like eating your favorite porterhouse steak… even without money, remember to check this place out!

Why Masa's Is A Must

Masas an establishment that open sometime in 2002 was one of the first restaurants in Greenbelt 2 that serves nothing but great tasting Filipino cuisine. It is also the only restaurants in Makati, wherein you can taste pansit buko.

Pansit buko is a house specialty, but since I was out-voted, we have ordered Pancit Canton instead and it was a decision that I have never regretted. The Pancit was saucy and very good…my daughter enjoyed it so much along with the fried chicken…

However, according to my husband the Lamb caldereta is the best and just cooked right. My brother on the other hand prefers the Sisig and he was right to like it so much, crunchy but still the meat is soft, also my favorite.

I am not much into Filipino cuisine, since it is something we get to eat most of the time. Nonetheless, My Masa’s trip certainly proves that nothing beats Filipino foods and my dining experience with this fine establishment is evidence of this fact.

Thanks to Buyanihan, an online discount site as they make fine dinning affordable.

Great food and ambience at Mile High Diner

Kiddie Meal 1

Mile High Home Style Chicken

Chicken Parmigiana

Mile High Burger

Kiddie Meal 2

Sunday is reserve for my family, and since I work almost non-stop 6 days a week (20 hours/day)… I make it a point that we spend the day, dinning out at some of Manila’s hippest and finest restaurants.

So, for 4 Sundays now we have been dinning out in one of the coolest resto in town, Mile High Diner. The resto that started in Baguio and Tagaytay now has a branch in Fort Bonifacio, Makati. This trendy resto in located along Burgos circle inside the fort.

The place offers great ambiences and meals, of course…why would we keep coming back if the meals are not good… Food lovers would never go wrong with this resto, the meals are typical American size and that means enough to keep your appetite satiated. Let me give you an idea on what we have tried in this diner, which I know you will also enjoy.

The Mile High Burger is large and the patty is simply to die for and serve with wedge fries in large quantity, which for a mere P215 (without cheese) is enough to keep you smiling for day. Chicken Parmigiana is another winner and cheese on top of the chicken still makes me hungry every time I remember the taste… hmmm

Let us not forget their famed Cordon Bleu (P255) serve with either mashed potato or rice, your choice. This meal is also great tasting that my son enjoyed it so much, the last time we visited. By the way, we both tried it, on different Sunday… I ordered mine with mashed potatoes and my son with rice…

For my daughter and niece, we ordered them the diner kiddie meals, which surprisingly are way to big unlike the other kiddie meals at some resto. In fact, because the servings are more than enough even for an adult, my daughter could not finish everything on her plate. The kiddie meal, which consists of spaghetti, chicken and fries, cost only P169.

For desserts, I urge you try their banana split (P190), Sunday (P110) and chocolate cake (P130)… their desserts is a great way to end a good meal.

So, if you are looking for a nice resto to take your family or friends, why not try Mile High Diner…
